We’re back! Wonder where we’ve been? We’ve been sick. Everyone but Grace. It started 3 weeks ago and it hasn’t been pretty. Matthew has had sinusitis and cannot seem to get rid of it. It is still lingering on. David and I both had stomach viruses; mine one week and David’s the next. However, life goes on and good things have been happening with J-Life across Africa.
Arsene, the country leader of Ivory Coast had this story:
Here is Mustapha. Going last month to Burkina Faso for a program, God gave me the grace to share the place in the bus with this young student and muslim born. Automatically i could hear God saying to my Heart ”I love this boy”.
So as we have a long trip (more than 24 hours) i started a simple strategy to ”win his soul” as learned through the J-Life process. Smiling, introducing myself, talking, sharing everything I had food drinking, being a friend. The reaction was very positive. We discussed about many things Result: a very good journey we made as 2 brothers. He was challenged to accept Jesus.
During my time in Ouagadougou, he called me to know where I was, came with his christian sister and choose to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. He Said to me: ”your attitude toward me your life philosophy and your words to me challenged me so much that I choose Jesus. I felt Love”. I prayed for him. What a powerful experience. Please help me to pray for his life and his lifetime with Jesus.
Also, Michael and Monica in Tanzania had a baby boy yesterday. His name is Steve. We praise God for a healthy delivery. Many times as Westerners, we take for granted a healthy delivery for mom and baby. Mike, our newest J-Life family member. Prayers for Monica as she recovers and has 2 kids at home already.
Thanks for continued prayers for our health and the happenings in Africa. We love each of you.
