Lots of people spend lots of time and money on bullet journaling, but this is not necessary. My first journal is a cheap A5 squared notebook. I actually duct tapped 2 together so it would last longer. You can see the front cover on my IG acct here. As you my know, I live in South Africa and have a Leuchtturm 1917 dotted A5 on the way, but you can never tell with the postal system. It was mailed almost 2 months ago. So, we wait and make due with what we have. My favorite pen is Pilot Super Grip (M). Then I use mostly Crayola Super Tips Washable. I am able to write a thin line or use my faux calligraphy if I want.
The first thing I do for my monthly layout a printed month. And in the back of my journal I have the next 4 months printed and just stuck with a little washi tape. This way, I can future plan. I also have a monthly tracker. I printed this one by being a tribe member at Bohoberry.com. She has lots of advice and is an expert on bullet journaling.
You can see that my layout changed a little in October. I used printables from www.wundertastisch.com. I used full sheet labels and it prints automatically 2 on each page to fill a A5 bullet journal. Sandra at wundertastisch has been great in answering my questions about blogging in general.
The next step is to decide if you have any notes or list you want to make. I have Blog List and Daughters of the Deep list since I write for them twice a month. I also have a Gratitude page for each month. You can see those pics below.
Some people write the whole line and take up two pages for the Gratitude page, but usually I just write a word, or a string of words or a name. It is just something to help us all remember to be thankful for something that day.
I use a Pentel Tape Runner to stick anything down I need to in my journal. It’s like correction tape but has tape on it.
My daughter has a Life Planner from Erin Condren along with a bullet journal she uses for school. So, we have delved into the great world of stickers. Mostly we order to have all year because it takes forever for them to get to South Africa if they ship to South Africa. Glam Planner and Scribble Prints Co. from Etsy are some of our Favorites. None of these are affiliates (but could be if they wanted). Just wanted you to know some of our favs.
You can add notes or take away things as you see what works for you. I would encourage you to go to my Pinterest site here to see more pins about bullet journaling.
