Happy New Year
Hey everyone! Happy New Year! We have spent the day with Andrew and Elizabeth in Arkansas. I spent part of the day working on Daughters of the Deep and a New Year’s resolution list. Our NYE was spent playing Monopoly and hanging out. Just hanging out with family is my favorite thing. Monopoly is not on my hugely favorite list, but we played and made it fun and not so long.
We have one week left until we leave for South Africa. David and I will hit the ground running with J-Life new year starting on Sunday before we land. The new trainees from across South Africa will be coming to Camp Eden for the first intensive training session.
Matthew will start his 12th grade year on Wednesday. Cannot believe we have come to the last year of his high school career. Seems like yesterday I was dropping him off at Kindergarten. He is turning into an amazing young man. We are so proud of him. He hopes to attend University of Arkansas starting Fall of 2018. He will return to the States and get a job and readjust to life in the States next December.
Grace is homeschooling this year so we will start the first Monday we are back. She has spent lots of time talking to her cousins about scheduling and what to do when. We are hoping it is a pretty seamless transition. Thankfully my sister and her cousins are a phone call away. We are super excited about the time we will have together and the opportunities that homeschooling will present.
We would appreciate your prayers as we return to South Africa leaving our family and framily again. It’s always hard to leave. Pray for our J-Life staff as we all return from holidays that we would make the best use of our time for the Lord.
