Well my people, we are back in South Africa starting our new year. School started Wed. for Matthew. His Senior (Matric) year which is hard to believe. Seems like he was just starting Kindergarten. Grace and I have spent this week getting the house back in order from bags and stuff. Grace will start Grade 10 homeschooling on Monday. I also will be back on the work-out regimen. Grace will also start a new dance studio. She is super excited about that.
J-Life year trainees have started their new year working on community and how to live with one another. They were at Bush camp for 3 days. Spent much of that time team building and learning to live together by making team rules. They will spend 6 weeks at Camp Eden (J-Life headquarters in SA) then go out to their church in their community.
Our leadership summit is coming up the first week of February. Our regional directors and the leadership team will be at Camp Eden learning and visioning for the coming year. On odd years, there will be regional summits that will happen mid-year. One in East Africa, West Africa, French Speaking Africa and Central Africa. Please pray for these meetings that they will know what the Lord wants them to do in 2017 and beyond. David will attend each of these regional summits as part of his mentoring and leading the regional and country leaders.
