Well, we’ve been here 6 days and it seems as all the stress of the exams and moving out of the house is gone. Well, maybe not all gone. We still have to repack and reweigh all of our bags. Grace still needs to do some purging. She is living in denial about this fact. But she has the most stuff and is taking up the most room and even with her princess status, it’s not gonna work. Matthew is helping with the camp crew here. There is summer camp here on Wed, but more on that in a minute. David is continuing to work and take advantage of Tina (who moved to Oregon, but still works for J-Life) being here and John being on the farm. They make up the leadership team. So, good to be all in one place.
Camp Eden (the farm) host a Summer camp in which many churches bring their youth here to the farm. It is not feasible for each small church to have their own camp so coming together is the best option. There will be more than 300 youth here along with about 50 leaders. Pray for their hearts to find Jesus or to grow closer to Jesus. Matthew and Grace will be attending and please pray for them to be drawn to Christ. They haven’t had the opportunity to go to Summer camp since we felt like we needed to utilize our time in December wisely. We are praying for great things to happen. Jesus is here already with the crew and I know He will be here during camp because where 2 or 3 (or 300) are gathered He will be there.
David as he continues to work. The internet our here at the farm is terrible. So contacting his guys and getting any mentoring or coaching done is difficult. He is also on a time crunch with some end of the year financial stuff.
Pray for Matthew and Grace specifically for camp. It starts Wednesday and ends Sunday. Pray that they will feel a closeness and a desire to stay close to the Lord. Pray as this is the last time they will see some of their friends. I am helping some at camp. And also trying to meet with the ladies I disciple in town before we leave. So, time crunch is coming.
The time here at the farm has blessed us already. Just moving out of the house and only having to deal with a small amount of stuff still to get rid of and be able to live in the retreat house has really been a retreat. Even though our hearts are sore and we are sad, we have peace. Peace that only comes from the Lord.
